About
For <Faux Pas>
Go to beyond the steps, stay in/stay out of the steps. How? crawling out, cracking out, shaking out, crazing out, stepping out…, to where? possibility of impossibilities, potential of impotence, balance/unbalance in crisis and diverse crystal of forces.

Overview
“Ko Murobushi Exhibition – Faux Pas / Misstep” will be running from summer 2025 to spring 2026 in Vienna and Tokyo.
The focus of this project is to display Ko Murobushi’s study of dance and the body in the form of an exhibition.
In taking on the paradoxical challenge of exhibiting a “dance that coexists with time,” we attempted to identify what we can learn and gain, and ultimately what kind of encounter we can offer to visitors. With this in mind, over a span of two years, we will aim to create a dance exhibition that can challenge limits and possibilities.
Furthermore, by delving further into Ko Murobushi’s thoughts on dance and the body, we may be able to relearn the many ideas about the body from different perspectives. Together with our participants, we will revisit the areas many dancers—including Ko Murobushi—continue to set their sights on, where many impossibilities still remain.
In the first year of the project, we will be collectively pursuing a concrete state for the dance exhibition through personal experiences brought on by the exhibition, dance, and the archive. The many discussions on dance over the years at the archive will then connect us to the international symposium “Faux Pas / Misstep,” scheduled to happen in Vienna in 2025.
In the second year of the project, through the events in Vienna and Tokyo, we hope to share our in-depth studies and questions on Ko Murobushi’s ideas on dance and the body at both the exhibition and the symposium.
