Description

A summer festival-like performance titled “3 Midnight Battles at Gotaishi, Fukui Prefecture – LOTUS CABARET 80s in Hokuryukyo” which included various movements such as jazz, punk music, and border-crossers who can be truly described as “free”, in addition to two sources of western and eastern alternative music: “Minor” in Kichijoji, Tokyo, and Takutaku in Kyoto. Most of the performances were performed live, without rehearsal, and as one-shot sessions with the body. In many aspects it was directed in the spirit of a festival, such as collaborating with a papier-mache about the size of a Saint Bernard, made in the shape of the dinosaur appearing on the flyer. The performance also had film projections of Entr’acte by René Clair, and a strange, extremely obscene film called Pink Flamingo by John Waters. The word Talafumara comes from the work of Antonin Artaud; Murobushi wrote in his salutation that he wanted the audience to translate this word (Talafumara) to “an unknown experience in a mysterious place”.
