Takashi Nibuya
Born in 1954. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Completed his graduate studies in Western Art History at the Graduate School of Fine Arts at the same university. Former Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Studies, Kobe City University of Foreign Studies.
His publications include The Country of Light (Asahi Press), A Small Boat in the Desert (Chikuma Shobo), The Courage Toward “Truth”: The Roar of Contemporary Writers’ Struggles and Deleuze, Cinema, Foucault (Seidosha), as well as Throw the Corpse Out the Window, Night Begins with the Greetings of the Dead, and Housework and Citadel (Kawade Shobo Shinsha), among others.
His translations include Jean-Marie Schaeffer’s An Ordinary Man Who Goes to the Movies: Nights at the Cinema and War (Gendai Shicho Shinsha), among others.
